THE LINDY HOP :
is the hottest new/old style of Swing Dancing sweeping
the nation. The Lindy has recently been portrayed
in the movies "Swing Kids", "Malcolm
X", "A League of their Own", and
"Swingers". Also known as the JITTERBUG,
the Lindy Hop is the first original swing dance having
grown up with the CHARLESTON, EARLY JAZZ, and BIG BAND
sounds of the 1920's and 30's. It is the father of
all Swing Dance and is experiencing world wide
interest.
FRANKIE
MANNING : is one of the most significant Swing
dancers of our Century. He has created most of the
steps that we know of as "Swing" dancing
today! Having grown up on the Savoy Dance floor in
Harlem in the '20's, Frankie became one of the most
sought after dancers. He has spent his life
choreographing for movies, Broadway theater, and touring
the world performing and teaching the Lindy Hop. Here's your chance to learn from a legend. Don't
miss it ! ! !
